JANUARY 2022
Mijas Los Olivos 27th January 2022
This week we played at Mijas Los Olivos kindly sponsored by the one and only Ian Ashworth.
Again, numbers were up this week with returning members and several new members and guests, so we had 39 playing this week which is great to see.
The course was once again in good condition well done to Mijas Golf for all the work they put in! The course was made trickery for most, with fairly high winds. It doesn’t show with the top three and certainly not for our winner who knocked it round as though the weather was perfect. A five over gross is a great score well done Bob.

1st Bob Sawyer, 41 pts, playing off 9.5, now off 8.6.
2nd Kirsten Hardiker, 35 pts, playing off 27.1, now off 26.6
3rd Luis Bernal, 34 pts, playing off 10.3, no change
Nearest pin hole 16, Sean Fenton
Nearest pin in 2 hole 13, Simon Waby
Guest prize was won by Greg Baker with 39pts, playing off 15
Next week is the first medal competition of the year at Parador, please let John Yuill know ASAP if you wish to play.

Santana Golf 6th January 2022
This week was the start of a brand-new golf season for the TBGS, we played our home course Santana.
With the new year we bring some new and updated competitions, the Champion Of Champions is back, but this year each weekly winner will go forward to the final in late November. We also welcome back our yearly singles knock out, Gary had also introduced a Pairs Knock Competition. Get your names into Gary or John if you want to take part!
This week was the start of a new Order of Merit, will anyone be able to take Bibs crown this year? I will be giving it a good go!
Santana was as good as ever with pure greens and some testing holes, the round began with a stiff breeze which made scoring quite hard!
Its good to see some new faces in the winners circle.
