La Cala 25th July 2019
Today we played the Europa course at La Cala. It was the for individual stapleford with the day being kindly sponsored by Der Carolan. It was also our end of the month competition with the winner going forward to the "Champion of Champions" final in June. Our winner today scoring 33 points on a very difficult course playing off 7 cut to 6 was Lewis Harrison. Second with 31 points playing off 16.4 cut to 16.1 was Ian Cameron. Third with 29 points playing off 2.7 cut to 2.4 was Bob Sawyer. Nearest the pin in one on a par three was Robyn Wheeler with Patrique Gallet nearest the pin in two on a par four. Mijas 18th July 2019
We played today's game at the Los Olivos course at Mijas. With the day being kindly sponsored by John and Lynn Yuill. It was the for individual stapleford and was the Torreblanca version of "The Open" It was another hot and humid day. Although the course being in first class condition helped. Our winner today and the winner of the Torreblanca Open trophy with a score of 35 points playing off 11.4 cut to 10.3 was Andy "Marigold" Hassall. Second with 32 points playing off 3.2 cut to 2.7 was Bob Sawyer. Third playing of 26.5 cut to 26.3 was Paul Winter. Nearest the pin on the par three Andy "Marigold Hassall" with Gary Sparrow nearest the pin in two on a par four. Santana 11th July 2019
We played today's game at Santana and the format was a Texas Scramble and was kindly sponsored by Jamie Watkins. The course was in its usual superb condition and thankfully it was not so hot today. The winning team with a score of 60.4 was Gary Sparrow, our sponsor Jamie Watkins, Larry Byrne and Andy "Marigold" Hassall. Second with 63.1 was Bill Perkins, Ken Fisher, John Brown and Matt Brown and third with a score of 63.1 was Bob Sawyer, Tony White and Paul Winter. La Cala America 4th July 2019
For today's game at La Cala we played the America course and was for individual stableford. Today was kindly sponsored by Norman Tillbrook. We were looking forward to playing the course again as the last time we played it was not so enjoyable as it was blowing a gale. After a breakfast of pastries and coffee a few of us intrepid, or was it mad people played, out in the very hot sun. Our winner today with 34 points playing off 11.8 cut to 10.8 was our sponsor Norman Tillbrook. Second with 33 points playing off 26.6 cut to 26.1 was Paul Winter and third with 32 points playing off 18.8 cut to 18.5 was Kenny Bradshaw.
