Today's game at Marbella was for individual stableford and was kindly sponsored by Paul Winter. Not only was it our last game of the season it would also decide who won the Order of Merit and who would take the last place in the Champion of Champions final. The course was in good condition although the green whilst good were difficult to read. First with 35 points playing of 17.1 cut to 15.9 and going forward to the Champion of Champions final was Larry Byrne. Second with 33 points playing off 18.3 cut to 17.8 was Mike "Boxy" Boxall. Third also with 33 points but with a worse back nine playing off 26.4 cut to 26.1 was our sponsor Paul Winter. Nearest the pin on one on hole 9 was Larry Byrne with Mike "Boxy" Boxall nearest the pin in two on hole 18. Our winner of the Order of Merit was eventually won by Bob Sawyer with Gary Sparrow second and Any "Marigold" Hassall third.
